so i stumbled upon a website last week called Freecycle. it's kinda like ebay but it's free.

it has divisions all over the world but the link above is the international one. you'll have to go down the list and find the one closest one to where you live. then you'll have to join. that means you need a yahoo ID/email addie. once you've done that you can look at the messages. that's where people post the things they're giving away, or that they want and once the items are taken, you have to post that they're taken.
the only catch is that everything is free, including postage. so if you're giving away a camera, then YOU have to pay the postage. so a lot of people say, pick up only. it's just a way of getting rid of stuff and giving it to someone for free.
i've posted about some things i'm looking for like a vacuum cleaner, chest freezer, cordless phone, tallboy etc. hopefully someone has some that they want to give to me. but i must warn you though, that these forums boards act quickly! some people sit on them all day and snatch up things in literally minutes! so be prepared for speedy giving and taking!
i think it's an excellent way of getting and giving things for free. i actually scored a free trestle table yesterday. someone put it up on the melbourne site for grabs. i emailed them and they said i was in first. so i went and picked it up yesterday. they lived 5 minutes away. it's a massive table too. so i've got it in the kitchen acting as more bench space. yay for free things! hehe.
luv bali.
